Maroochydore - Cotton Tree - Sunshine Coast

Our trip up from Brisbane went via Caloundra, Mooloolaba & Alexandra Headlands.  We drove passed many caravan parks before we decided to try Cotton Tree Caravan Park.  So glad we chose this location to stop.  It was in the perfect spot.  River views and the main Maroochydore beach a 100m walk from our caravan.  Shops 500m away and large sites.

Head to river to take in our new address

Mothers Day arrived while we were here and the kids took me out for breakfast.  That was a lovely treat and a nice way to celebrate.  We wandered around the local market and did some more thong shopping.  Three pairs down how many more will be destroyed before the trip ends?
Brum Brum....my new bike!

Sent 40kgs of dead weight back to Geelong.  Which has really given us back some space in the caravan.

We visited Australia Zoo while we were in Maroochydore and had a great time wandering around the park taking in the sites and animals within the park.  The shrine to Steve is evident everywhere around the park.  His face is on so many things.  The kids wanted to know why Bindi & Bob weren't wandering around the park.  They thought they live there...After getting home the kids, Nigel and I ate fish'n'chips on the river bank and watched the sun go down.  It was a lovely way to end the day.

Our final day at Cotton Tree was spent playing on the beach enjoying another great day. Definitely a place I would go back to.
