Brisbane

This was an unscheduled stop.  We had intended on bypassing Brisbane but at the last minute decided to stay for three nights.  The Brisbane Truck show was on and Corey was up for the weekend working so we thought it would be great to catch up with a mate from home.  So the next day we went to the Truck Show which Nigel, Austin & Jordan were all excited by going.  I tagged along just so I could catch up with Corey but I ended up enjoying myself also.  We looked around the pavilion for ages and saw some great things.  The kids had a ball collecting as many show bags as possible.  There were plenty about.  They even had a truckers fashion parade.  Blueys, tight shorts & CFM boots for the girls.  Just what work safe like you to wear....lol.  We had a lovely lunch up in the exhibitors lunch rooms.  Thanks again Corey.  It was great to see a friend from home.  The kids even got filmed by channel 9.  Unfortunately they did not make the news.

The next day we spent our time looking around Brisbane on the River CAT.  We saw many thing while on the river then got off at South bank to play at the man made lagoons/beach.  We all had a dip.  Geelong could do a similar thing at Easter Beach.  Maybe someone should suggest it to them!  We also went on the Brisbane Wheel and saw the sunset while we went round.  The night lights of Brisbane were very pretty.  We really enjoyed our couple of days a Brisbane and would look forward to going there again some day.  Mind you its like a rabbit warren of bus tunnels and roads.  Very confusing indeed.  The caravan park was in a great location so if anyone travelling to Brisbane is looking for a good spot to setup camp.  Make sure you visit Newmarket Gardens Caravan Park. Its only 4kms from the city.
