Yamba

In the middle of sugar canes was our stop for the next couple of days.  We stay at a caravan park on Palmers Island on the Clarence River.  The setting was beautiful but it had rain and rain the last couple of days and the place was like a quagmire.  We spent the entire set up squelching around on the grass.  Yuck!  The rain continued on and off over the next 12 hours but the following day it fined up enough to so we could go and look around Yamba.  It was a good 10minute drive from the caravan park we were stay which was the only draw back on our location.  Yamba was a pretty town.  We drove around for a little while then went to the main beach where the kids had a play in the rock pools.  After their play we stopped at a fish'n'chips shop and ordered lunch and had it sitting by the river.  It was an enjoyable meal.  When we got back we had time for a quick dip which was freezing.  I hate pools with no heating.  Aaaahhhh!  This was our quick stay over at Yamba.  Next time I hope the weathers better and we stay closer to town.
